Solventum 3M Red Dot ECG Monitoring Foam, Diaphoretic Electrodes 4 x 3.5cm 50 Pack 2570 Disposable foam electrodes for ECG monitoring by healthcare professionals. Sticky gel and a pressure-sensitive adhesive help maintain contact with the skin.

Product Features and Materials Each electrode has foam tape backing, sticky gel, a snap connector, a silver/silver chloride sensing element, pressure-sensitive adhesive and an integrated abrader. It is fluid resistant and radiolucent. Natural rubber latex is not used as a material in the electrode or its packaging.
How to Use
  • Select and prepare the application site according to the healthcare facility's ECG monitoring protocol. The skin must be clean, dry and free of oil. Clip thick or curly hair if it cannot be parted.
  • Reduce skin impedance during preparation using the integrated abrader or 3M Red Dot Trace Prep.
  • Connect the lead wire, then remove the electrode from its liner without touching the adhesive.
  • Place the centre of the electrode over the prepared site. Smooth the electrode around its outer area using a circular motion, without pressing its centre.
  • For removal, lift slowly from one edge, fold the electrode back over itself and support the skin underneath.

Caution & Storage
  • Intended for ECG monitoring of adults by healthcare professionals.
  • For single use only. Reuse may reduce adhesion and trace quality or create a risk of infection through cross-contamination.
  • Do not use if the package is damaged or open, if the gel is dry, or if the gel column has separated from the electrode.
  • Use within 45 days after opening. Keep remaining electrodes in the opened package.
  • Replace an electrode if it no longer adheres firmly to the skin.
  • Do not apply to irritated skin. Do not abrade the same area more than once. Avoid frequent removal and reapplication at the same site.
  • If alcohol is used during skin preparation, allow the skin to dry fully before applying an electrode. Inspect application sites periodically.
  • During electrosurgical procedures, position the electrodes as far from the electrosurgical area as possible. Otherwise, unwanted radiofrequency current may cause a burn at an electrode site.
  • Disconnected electrodes can remain on the patient during MRI when all specified conditions are met. Use while connected to an MR Conditional monitoring system has not been tested, and acceptable use in that setup is unknown.
  • MRI conditions are a static magnetic field of 3 T or less, a maximum spatial gradient magnetic field of 4,000 gauss/cm, and a maximum whole-body averaged SAR of 4 W/kg for 15 minutes per pulse sequence in Normal Operating Mode.
  • Check the expiry date before use. Dispose of used electrodes in accordance with applicable local, regional and national regulations.
  • Report any serious incident associated with the electrode to 3M and the relevant local regulatory authority.
