Hartmann Hydrofilm 10cm x 20cm (685778) – Sterile Transparent Film Dressing
Hartmann Hydrofilm 10 x 20 cm is a sterile, transparent, breathable adhesive film dressing designed for wound protection, IV-site securement and surgical incision coverage. The clear polyurethane film provides a waterproof bacterial barrier while allowing continuous visual monitoring of the wound or insertion site — ideal for clinical and home wound care, post-operative protection and catheter fixation.
Key Benefits
- Transparent polyurethane film for continuous wound and IV-site observation
- Waterproof yet breathable membrane — protects against contaminants while allowing moisture vapour transmission
- Strong, gentle adhesion for secure fixation without frequent reapplication
- Sterile, single-use dressing suitable for clinical and home settings
- Hypoallergenic, latex‑free materials reduce skin irritation risk
- Conforms to body contours for comfortable, low-profile wear
Ingredients and Materials
Hartmann Hydrofilm is made from a thin, transparent polyurethane film backing combined with a hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive and a silicone-coated release liner. The dressing is sterile, single-use and latex-free to minimise allergy risk. The materials provide a bacterial and fluid barrier while permitting vapour transmission.
How to Use
- Clean and dry the surrounding skin thoroughly; remove moisture and oils for best adhesion.
- Open sterile pack and remove release liner without touching the adhesive surface.
- Position the dressing over the wound or IV site and smooth from centre to edges to ensure secure contact and remove any air pockets.
- Monitor the site through the transparent film; change according to clinical guidance or if the dressing becomes loose or heavily soiled.
- Single use only. Dispose of safely after removal.
Who It’s For
Suitable for patients and healthcare professionals for protection of minor wounds, post-operative incisions, IV and catheter sites, and for securement of secondary dressings. Appropriate for adult and pediatric use under clinical direction. Ideal for acute care, outpatient procedures and home care wound management.
