Clinihealth Plaster of Paris Bandage Clinihe 15cm x 3m

The Clinihealth Plaster of Paris Bandage (15cm x 3m) is a professional-grade, fast-setting cast bandage designed for reliable fracture immobilization, orthopaedic casting and clinical splinting. Impregnated cotton gauze with high-purity Plaster of Paris provides excellent mouldability, even setting and durable support for casts and splints.

Key Benefits

  • Rapid-setting Plaster of Paris for efficient cast formation and immobilization.
  • 15cm x 3m size offers versatile coverage for limbs and paediatric applications.
  • High mouldability — contours smoothly for precise, comfortable casts.
  • Breathable gauze backing helps reduce moisture build-up and improves patient comfort.
  • Durable, cost-effective option for clinics, hospitals, paramedics and sports medicine.
Ingredients and Materials

This Plaster of Paris bandage consists of a cotton or blended gauze backing impregnated with calcined gypsum (Plaster of Paris). The active casting material is calcium sulfate hemihydrate (gypsum) that reacts with water to form a hard, supportive cast. Materials: calcined gypsum (Plaster of Paris), cotton/blended gauze backing, inert binders. Free from latex in typical formulations; check packaging for batch-specific information.

How to Use
  1. Prepare the limb: apply a protective stockinette and soft padding over bony prominences.
  2. Immerse the bandage in clean water, gently squeeze out excess water (do not wring aggressively).
  3. Wrap evenly around the limb with slight overlap (25–50%), smoothing each layer to remove wrinkles.
  4. Mould to the desired shape while the bandage is plastic. Initial set occurs in minutes; handling strength typically within 10–15 minutes. Full cure/maximum strength may take 24–48 hours.
  5. Trim excess material and allow to harden undisturbed. Advise patients on weight-bearing and care per clinical protocol.

Note: Follow local clinical guidelines. Intended for use by trained clinicians or under professional supervision.

Who It’s For

Ideal for orthopaedic departments, emergency medical services, physiotherapists, sports medicine teams, clinics, schools and first-aid providers who require reliable plaster casting material for fracture immobilization, splinting and orthopaedic applications.
