Clinihealth Plaster Of Paris Bandage 5cm x 3m

Clinihealth Plaster of Paris Bandage 5cm x 3m is a high-quality, quick-setting cast bandage designed for reliable immobilization and accurate moulding in orthopedic and first-aid applications. Ideal for creating custom casts, splints and support dressings, this 5cm x 3m roll offers consistent setting time and excellent conformability for professional clinical use.

Key Benefits

  • Fast-setting formulation for efficient cast and splint application.
  • High conformability to anatomical contours for secure immobilization.
  • Durable, rigid finish once fully cured to support fracture management and splinting.
  • Cost-effective and easy to apply in emergency, clinical and sports medicine settings.
  • Compact 5cm x 3m roll β€” ideal for localized casts, finger and forearm applications.
Ingredients and Materials

This plaster of Paris cast bandage is made from a cotton gauze carrier impregnated with plaster of Paris (calcium sulfate hemihydrate). The product is manufactured to clinical standards for consistent setting characteristics and strength. May contain inert additives to control setting time depending on batch formulation.

How to Use
  1. Prepare the injury site: apply a protective stockinette and appropriate padding to protect skin and bony prominences.
  2. Cut the 5cm bandage to the required length. Remove any packaging and immerse the bandage briefly in room-temperature water (typically 5–10 seconds) until fully wetted.
  3. Squeeze out excess water gently β€” do not wring aggressively. Apply overlapping turns with moderate tension, smoothing each layer to conform to contours.
  4. Mould and hold the bandage in position until initial set occurs (typically several minutes). Full cure and maximum strength develop over the following 24–48 hours.
  5. Trim edges and secure with appropriate tape or outer bandage as required. Monitor for comfort and circulation after application.
Who It’s For

Designed primarily for healthcare professionals and trained first-aiders: orthopaedic clinicians, emergency department staff, physiotherapists, sports medicine practitioners, paramedics and veterinary professionals. Also suitable for clinical training and controlled professional use in outpatient and acute-care settings.

Caution & Storage

Caution: For professional use only. Always use appropriate padding beneath plaster bandages to protect skin. Plaster of Paris generates heat during setting β€” avoid thick layers and monitor for patient discomfort or heat-related injury. Not recommended for direct application to open wounds unless directed by clinical protocol. Discontinue use if allergic reaction or skin irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep packaging sealed until use. Recommended storage temperature below 30Β°C. Do not use if packaging is damaged or if the bandage has been exposed to moisture prior to use.
