Alula Gold Infant Starter Formula 1 1.8kg is a milk-based formula for infants aged 0 to 6 months. It is intended for use when breastfeeding is not possible and does not contain breast milk.
Ingredients
- Carbohydrate and protein ingredients: Lactose, skimmed milk powder and whey protein concentrate enriched with alpha-lactalbumin.
- Vegetable oils: Palm fruit, coconut or palm kernel or palm kernel olein oil, soybean oil, canola seed or high oleic sunflower oil.
- Fatty acids and emulsifier: Soybean lecithin and long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids from single-cell sources, including arachidonic acid of Mortierella alpina origin and docosahexaenoic acid of Crypthecodinium cohnii origin.
- Amino acids and other ingredients: L-tyrosine, citric acid, L-taurine, nucleotides, L-carnitine, mixed tocopherols concentrate, ascorbyl palmitate, lutein, sodium citrate, calcium carbonate, potassium citrate, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, calcium hydroxide, calcium phosphate, potassium bicarbonate and potassium hydroxide.
- Minerals: Ferrous sulphate, zinc sulphate, copper sulphate, manganese sulphate, potassium iodide and sodium selenite.
- Vitamins and related nutrients: Ascorbic acid, choline chloride, meso-inositol, DL-alpha tocopheryl acetate, nicotinamide, calcium-D-pantothenate, thiamine hydrochloride, retinyl palmitate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cholecalciferol, beta-carotene, folic acid, phytonadione, biotin and cyanocobalamin.
How to Use
- Wash hands and feeding utensils well. Boil feeding items for 5 minutes, then keep clean bottles or cups closed until use.
- Prepare with safe drinking water that has been boiled for 5 minutes. Do not overboil. Allow the water to cool to lukewarm before pouring the required amount into a bottle or cup.
- Use only the enclosed scoop. Level each scoop with the back of a clean, dry knife, then add the powder to the water. Do not add extra powder or water.
- For a cup, stir until the powder has dissolved completely. For a bottle, attach the teat, close and shake well. Test the temperature on the inside of the wrist. The feed should be lukewarm.
- Prepare each feed immediately before feeding. If preparing more than one feed, refrigerate and use within 24 hours. Discard unfinished feeds.
- For infants aged 0-2 weeks and weighing 2.5-3.5kg, use 60ml water and 2 level scoops, with 8 feeds in 24 hours.
- For infants aged 2-4 weeks and weighing 3.5-4kg, use 90ml water and 3 level scoops, with 7 feeds in 24 hours.
- For infants aged 4-6 weeks and weighing 4-5kg, use 120ml water and 4 level scoops, with 6 feeds in 24 hours.
- For infants aged 6-8 weeks and weighing 5-6kg, use 150ml water and 5 level scoops, with 5 feeds in 24 hours.
- For infants aged 2-4 months and weighing 6-7kg, use 180ml water and 6 level scoops, with 5 feeds in 24 hours.
- For infants aged 4-6 months and weighing more than 7kg, use 210ml water and 7 level scoops, with 5 feeds in 24 hours.

- Breast milk is the best food for babies. This product does not contain breast milk.
- Use only on the advice of a health professional.
- This product is not always sterile. Prepare and use it appropriately.
- Keep in a cool, dry place. Replace the plastic lid after use and avoid prolonged storage at excessive temperatures.
- Use within 4 weeks of opening.
