AeroChamber Plus Flow-Vu Youth Mouthpiece Green Anti-Static Valved Holding Chamber is an anti-static valved holding chamber used with a metered dose inhaler to help aerosol medication reach the lungs and reduce the amount deposited at the back of the throat. Its Flow-Vu indicator provides visual feedback on inhalation and the mouthpiece seal, helping users and caregivers coordinate inhaler actuation with breathing.

Key Benefits

  • Helps inhaled medication reach the lungs while reducing deposition at the back of the throat.
  • The moving Flow-Vu indicator helps users and caregivers check the mouthpiece seal and coordinate medication release with inhalation.
  • A low inhalation resistance valve makes medication easier to inhale.
  • Compatible with all commonly prescribed metered dose inhalers and soft mist inhalers.
Product Features and Materials

One anti-static valved holding chamber with a green youth mouthpiece. Free of bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, latex, lead and PVC.

How to Use
  • The chamber can be used before its first wash. Read these directions and the instructions supplied with your inhaler before use.
  • Remove both the inhaler cap and the chamber mouthpiece cap. Shake the inhaler immediately before use as directed in its instructions.
  • Fit the inhaler into the chamber's backpiece, then place the mouthpiece in your mouth and seal your lips firmly around it.
  • Breathe out. As you start to breathe in slowly, press the inhaler once. Continue inhaling slowly and deeply until you have taken a full breath, then hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds before breathing out.
  • Alternatively, breathe out and press the inhaler once as you start a slow inhalation. Keep your lips sealed around the mouthpiece and breathe in and out through the chamber for 2 to 3 breaths.
  • Use one puff at a time. Before taking another puff, wait for the interval specified in your inhaler's instructions.
  • A caregiver can watch the Flow-Vu indicator to check the seal, coordinate inhaler actuation with inhalation and count breaths. During inhalation, it moves towards the user only when the seal is correct.
  • Wash the chamber weekly. Take off the backpiece and twist to detach the frontpiece.
  • To wash by hand, soak the parts for 15 minutes in clean lukewarm water mixed with a mild solution of liquid dish detergent. Gently move the parts in the solution, then rinse them with clean water.
  • For dishwasher cleaning, secure the parts face up on the top rack. Use a normal or light cycle with rinse aid, without heated drying. Do not wash the parts alongside very dirty dishes.
  • Shake away excess water and stand the parts upright to air dry. Allow them to dry completely before putting the chamber back together.
  • Fit the frontpiece back onto the chamber and twist it until locked. Line up the alignment feature on the backpiece with the Flow-Vu indicator, then press the backpiece firmly into place.
  • If medication accumulates inside the chamber, gently wash the inside using a soft cloth.
  • Clean the inhaler separately using the instructions supplied with it.
Caution & Storage
  • The youth mouthpiece model is intended for ages 5 years and older.
  • For repeated use by one patient only. Do not share the device.
  • Check inside the chamber before every use. If dust or debris is visible, clean it before use. Replace the chamber immediately if it is damaged or any parts are missing.
  • Do not use with dry powder inhalers or nebulisers. The chamber is not designed for these medicines, and the correct dose may not be delivered.
  • Incorrect use can affect medication delivery or cause inhalation problems.
  • Do not leave children unattended with the device. Small parts can cause choking.
  • Replace the chamber after 12 months of use.
  • Do not boil or sterilise the chamber. Boiling, sterilisation or dishwasher temperatures above 70°C can permanently damage it.
