Accu-Chek Softclix Lancets 200 Pack are sterile, single-use lancets for hygienic collection of capillary blood from the side of a fingertip and alternative sites such as the palm, upper arm and forearm. They are intended for one person in a home setting and fit Accu-Chek Softclix and Softclix Plus lancing devices.

How to Use
  • Wash your hands with warm water and soap, then dry them well.
  • Remove the cap from the Accu-Chek Softclix lancing device. Insert a new lancet into the holder as far as it will go, then twist off the protective cap.
  • Replace the device cap with the notches aligned. Rotate the comfort dial to the required penetration depth. If you have not used the device before, start with a low setting such as 2.
  • Prime the device immediately before sampling by pressing the priming button fully. Do not press the release button at the same time.
  • Press the device firmly against the side of the selected fingertip and press the release button.
  • Massage the finger towards the fingertip to form a blood drop. Do not press or squeeze the finger. Test the blood immediately according to the instructions for the diagnostic device.
  • Remove the device cap, slide the ejector forward and discard the used lancet safely according to local regulations.
Caution & Storage
  • Use each lancet once only. Do not share the lancets or lancing device with another person, including family members.
  • Use these lancets only with Accu-Chek Softclix or Softclix Plus lancing devices.
  • Do not use a lancet if its protective cap is missing, deformed, cracked or otherwise damaged, or if any part of the needle is exposed. Do not use lancets after their use-by date.
  • If a lancet or lancing device has been dropped or exposed to mechanical stress, inspect it for damage. Do not use it if damage such as cracking is visible.
  • Patients younger than 18 years must be supervised by an adult, or an adult must perform the procedure. Before first use on a child, consult a healthcare professional and start with the lowest penetration depth.
  • If the skin becomes irritated or inflamed, consult a healthcare professional.
  • Store at room temperature away from extreme temperatures, excessive humidity, sunlight and heat.
  • Keep small parts away from small children and anyone who may swallow them.
