Accu-Chek Softclix Lancets 200 Pack Sterile, single-use 28-gauge, bevel-cut lancets for collecting capillary blood with an Accu-Chek Softclix lancing device. The thin, bevelled profile supports smoother skin penetration.

How to Use
  • Wash your hands with warm water and soap, then dry them thoroughly.
  • Remove the lancing device cap. Insert a new lancet fully into the holder until it locks audibly into place, then twist off the protective cap.
  • Replace the device cap with its locating notch aligned with the locating line on the device.
  • For fingertip sampling, use the side of a fingertip. Sampling from the palm, forearm, upper arm, calf or thigh requires an Accu-Chek Softclix AST cap in place of the regular cap.
  • Set the required penetration depth. When using the device for the first time, begin with a low setting such as 2.
  • Prime the device immediately before collecting blood. Do not press the release button at the same time.
  • Press the device firmly against the selected puncture site and press the release button. Massage the finger towards the fingertip to encourage a blood drop. Do not press or squeeze the finger.
  • Test the blood glucose immediately, following the instructions for the blood glucose meter.
  • After use, remove the device cap, slide the ejector forward and discard the used lancet according to local regulations in a way that prevents needle injury.
Caution & Storage
  • Use each lancet once only. Use a new lancet for every blood sample.
  • The lancing device is for one person only. Do not share it with another person, including a family member, because this can transmit infection.
  • Use the lancing device only with its cap fitted. Without the cap, the lancet can penetrate too deeply and cause pain.
  • Do not use a lancet if its protective cap is missing, deformed, cracked or otherwise damaged, or if any part of the needle is exposed.
  • Do not use lancets after their use-by date.
  • If the lancing device falls with a lancet inserted, pick it up carefully without touching the front of the cap. Remove the cap carefully, eject the lancet and discard it.
  • Patients younger than 18 years must be supervised by an adult, or an adult must perform the procedure.
  • Before first use on a child, consult a healthcare professional and begin with the lowest penetration depth.
  • Consult a healthcare professional if the skin becomes irritated or inflamed.
  • Keep small parts away from small children and anyone who may swallow them.
  • Store at room temperature away from excessive humidity, sunlight and heat. Do not store lancets at extreme temperatures, such as in a hot car.
